William Barnett was born abt 1789 in Northumberland Co, PA. Parents’ identity unknown. According to family history, his mother died when he was young; his father left him with the family of Richard Potts of Potts Grove, Chillisquaque Twp. Barnett-Potts relationship unknown. His father remarried and moved “west over the mountains.” The 1800 %26 1810 Hance Potts’ households each had 1 male whose age profile fit that of William Barnett.

William m. Jane Murray, d-o Col. James Murray in the Chillisquaque Meeting House abt 1816 and lived close to Milton. They migrated to VA abt 1823.

i am trying to find out if there is any family still living in seapatrick banbridge of the potts family. they are william potts and mary scott they had six children. sarah, margaret, willia, annie,david, james. they lived in banbridge co down. was hoping there was any ancesters of william and mary;s children.
